Phil O'Sullivan attached to co-write psychological thriller BLINDFOLD VISION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. ---------------------------------- September 12, 2018
British screenwriter Phil O’Sullivan, known for comedy short Antoine’s Play, documentary Yours, Mine, Ours and considerable work on projects as a literary assistant, has been officially attached to co-write the feature film, Blindfold Vision, a psychological thriller in development at Netherlands-based Falcon Grove Productions, to be directed by Nicci Thompson. Phil will team up with Frank Tomczak to pen the script.
David Grover, CEO of Falcon Grove, describes the story as Usual Suspects meeting Fight Club meeting In Bruges, and aims to start production in Fall 2019.
The neo-noir begins with a beaten-up mob enforcer being interrogated at a police station. When he tries to recall being held hostage, both he and the police question his clouded recollections, amplified by having mysteriously gone blind and his captor being his own double.
Grover said, "We are delighted to attach Phil to co-write Blindfold Vision. He was one of the first readers to comment on an early draft, and his suggestions kept making their way into the script. So we decided to make it official and offer him the co-writing gig. He’s really brought the script to life and taken it in surprising new directions. We can’t wait to shoot some of the funky stuff he’s written."
Thompson added, “I’m thrilled Phil’s come on as co-writer. From this early stage he has already demonstrated a keen enthusiasm for the project and has come up with some great ideas for the script! He will without doubt make the project stronger and I'm looking forward to working with him."
O’Sullivan added, “Having followed the story and its evolution over a number of drafts, I was delighted to be asked on board to co-write the script. Working with David, Frank and Nicci has been an absolute pleasure and my passion for this film, its world and its characters only keeps on growing!”
Falcon Grove is Grover's Netherlands based production company, which he founded in 2015 to produce feature films with a Dutch link. Prior his production career, Grover was a Media banker based in London, New York and Amsterdam, most recently as Head of Media Finance at ING Bank. While at ING, he was responsible for over €135 million of film slate financing.
Get Off the Road and Falcon Grove’s action/sci-fi feature Kill Mode is currently in postproduction and scheduled for release in 2019.
